Job summary

Diversified Services Network, Inc. in Mossville, IL is seeking a Drivetrain Validation Engineer to validate drivetrain systems and convert test data into actionable engineering insight.

You will influence design decisions to improve performance, durability, reliability, and quality while supporting new and current product introductions. You will plan and execute validation testing, analyze complex data, troubleshoot issues, and document procedures and conclusions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 2–4 years of relevant experience or
• Master's degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with design, controls, and cross-functional teams to define validation requirements and influence design decisions.
• Plan, prepare, and execute drivetrain component and system validation testing.
• Prepare and instrument test units, including test setups and data acquisition needs.
• Analyze complex test data, compare results to requirements, and identify performance gaps.
• Apply system-level thinking to evaluate component interactions and tradeoffs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues during testing.
• Perform inspections, failure analysis, and support structured root cause investigations.
• Support build events, validation activities, and issue resolution for new and current product programs.
• Document test procedures, results, and conclusions in clear technical reports.
