Job summary

AutomationDirect, located in Georgia, is seeking an Automation Controls Product Engineer - Drives & Motors to manage and grow their product line in an entrepreneurial environment. The role includes evaluating and testing new products, overseeing technical aspects, and ensuring customer needs are met.

The ideal candidate should possess significant experience in the industrial control and automation market, hold a relevant engineering degree, and exhibit skills in project management and communication.

Qualifications

• Requires education in a technical discipline with preference for BS in mechanical or electrical engineering or at least 10 years of related experience.
• Requires 7 years’ experience (10 years preferred) in the industrial control & automation market.
• Experience with industrial control products such as PLCs, HMIs, Servos, and Encoders is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Leverage your experience and product knowledge to select the best products to grow the product line.
• Evaluate and test new products and technologies; create sample projects for demonstrating product functionality.
• Support product through specifying product requirements and new product introductions.
