Job summary

The Boat House in Lauderdale Lakes, Elkhorn, WI is seeking a team-focused individual to work in our service department. The role primarily involves boat servicing, customer interaction, and light forklift duties, with some travel to other locations as needed.

Weekend work is a must in this industry. The ideal candidate will be able to lift 75 lbs, follow varied directions, and have basic mechanical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers and team members professionally and with courtesy.
• Complete servicing tasks related to boats in a timely, safe manner (prep for return, pressure wash, scrape bottoms, wash service boats).
• Inform manager if deadlines must be missed.
• Maintain good relationships with peers and other business units.
• Light forklift operation to unload transports; training provided.
• Assist technicians as needed.
• Keep marina/yard clean and professional in appearance.
• Attend meetings and follow company policies; be pleasant with staff, customers and vendors.
• Have reliable transportation; experience operating boats is a plus.

This position would be stationed at our Lauderdale Lakes facility in Elkhorn, WI the majority of the time with some minimal travel to our other locations as needed for specialized coverage or client need. Our team player will have the following essential functions:

• Communicate with customers and team members professionally and with courtesy. *


• Complete assigned tasks related to servicing a boat in a timely and safe manner. Tasks will include but are not limited to preparation for return to customers, pressure washing and scraping boat bottoms as needed, washing service boats for delivery. *


• When deadlines must be missed, communicate to your manager immediately.*


• Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with peers and employees in all other business units within the company. *


• Light Small Forklift operation to unload transport trucks - Training to be provided attending to all safety protocols. *


• Assisting technicians if needed*


• Assist in maintaining the professional, clean appearance of the marina/yard, to include but not limited to maintaining public areas. *


• Attend all assigned meetings, follow all company policies and procedures, and be genuinely pleasant in the workplace toward peers, customers, vendors, and any other person who enters the facility. *


• Have reliable transportation.


• Have experience with boat driving on the water.
