Job summary

QXO is seeking a Commercial Motor Vehicle Driver / Warehouse position in Birmingham, AL. The role involves delivering and unloading products locally, receiving and staging inventory, and supporting warehouse tasks as needed.

You will read and navigate using software and must be able to start shifts between 5:30 am and 7:00 am. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of verifiable commercial driving with a 26' box truck, a valid license, a clean DMV record, and the ability to perform warehouse

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Minimum 1 year verifiable commercial driving experience (10,001–26,000 lbs).
• Experience with 26' Box Truck required.
• Valid driver's license required for company vehicle use.
• Vehicle operation is a safety-sensitive position.
• Flexibility to perform warehouse duties as signed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and unload finished products, parts, and materials to customer locations.
• Assist in the warehouse to receive, store and distribute inventory.
• Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle locally.
• Assist in loading/unloading with physical effort up to 50 lbs.
• Provide excellent customer service as company ambassadors.
• Read/write/read English and use navigation software.
• Shift starts between 5:30 am and 7:00 am; warehouse support ~20% of time.

Your Responsibilities

• Currently hiring a Commercial Motor Vehicle Driver / Warehouse to deliver and unload finished products, parts and materials to our customer locations.
• Assist in the Warehouse as needed to receive, store and distribute inventory.
• Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle locally.
• Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, pulling and lifting up 50 lbs. during physical loading/unloading of trucks.
• Excellent customer service skills – our drivers are the most important ambassadors of our company and build relationships with our customers.
• Able to read, write and understand English Language, as well as use navigation software.
• Shift schedule varies anywhere from 5:30 am to 7:00 am start.
• Assist in the warehouse 20% of the time.
• Any other duty, task, or responsibilities as assigned.

• Your Qualifications

Travel Requirements

Eighty (80%) percent of all work activities are performed inside the cab of the commercial vehicle. The remainder of work activities are performed outdoors.

Physical Requirements

This role requires prolonged standing and repetitive motions, including bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling. Role also requires good hand-eye coordination, hand dexterity, and physical strength. The position involves lifting up to 50 pounds, depending on the specific job duties.
