Job summary

Echo Electric, a leading distributor owned by Sonepar, is hiring a Driver/Warehouse Associate to ensure safe, efficient delivery of electrical supplies and to support general warehouse duties. This on-site role requires lifting, driving, and operating equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

The successful candidate will be tasked with loading/unloading, receiving deliveries, packing and shipping orders, and maintaining a tidy, safe warehouse environment while upholding customer service

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Able to climb into and drive delivery vehicles.
• Able to unload materials at customer sites, including heavy items.
• Willingness to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Stand for extended periods and traverse the warehouse.
• Basic problem-solving and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive company trucks and ensure safety and compliance with traffic laws and safety protocol.
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
• Provide associates with solutions and/or appropriate contact information when problems arise; report observations to the Warehouse Manager.
• Load and unload materials from truck safely and efficiently.
• Receive and check deliveries, pickups and returns to ensure quality and quantity.
• Cut wire, rod, or strut, safely using proper equipment.
• Sweep floors and maintain the warehouse in a tidy and safe condition.
• Pick, pack, and ship orders of varying sizes.
• Record losses of damaged or defective materials.

We have a great opportunity for a customer-oriented Driver/Warehouse Associate to join our team! As a Driver/Warehouse Associate, you will ensure the safe, efficient, and courteous delivery of electrical supplies, materials, and parts. You will also assist with general warehouse duties.

Shift: 8 AM- 5 PM, M-F

Pay: $19-$20 per hour

We are looking for associates who:

• Drive company truck(s) with great care, assuring compliance with all prevailing traffic laws and legal speed limits, and safety protocol.
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
• Provides associateswith possible solutions and/or appropriate contact information when problems arise; reports observations of customer opportunities and problems to the Warehouse Manager.
• Loads and unloads materials from truck in an accurate, efficient, and safe manner, utilizing proper body mechanics and proper equipment (e.g., forklift).
• Receive and check deliveries, pickups and returns to ensure quality and quantity of products.
• Cut wire, rod, or strut, safely utilizing the appropriate equipment.
• Sweep floors remove trash and otherwise maintain the warehouse in a tidy and safe condition.
• Pick, pack, and ship orders. Orders range from a small box to pallets.
• Record losses of damaged or defective materials.

What you bring:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Ability to climb into and drive delivery vehicles.
• Ability to unload material at customer site, including heavy and bulky items.
• Willingness to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jack, and power tools. You will also use push carts and rolling ladders.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Ability to be on your stand for extended periods and traverse the warehouse with or without accommodation.
• Basic problem-solving skills and computer skills.
