Job summary

Mygrant Glass in Ashland, VA is hiring a Driver/Warehouse Associate. This nonexempt role reports to the Branch Manager and balances delivery duties with warehouse responsibilities to ensure efficient order fulfillment.

The position requires a valid MVR check and experience operating forklifts. It offers a Monday–Friday schedule with rotating Saturdays, $17.50–$19.00 per hour, and benefits including health insurance and a 401(k) plan.

Responsibilities

• Unload inventory from incoming vehicles and inspect for damage.
• Pick correct product and quantities for orders; load racks/trucks.
• Clean glass and affix proper labels; assess stock for damage.
• Follow delivery routes and schedules; process orders and input data.
• Safely operate the delivery vehicle.
• Receive and process return stock.
• Complete logs and documentation.
• Break down boxes and organize inventory.
• Assist customers during delivery and will-call.
• Maintain branch appearance; clean warehouse and counters.
• Adhere to health & safety policies; safety-sensitive.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Reports To: Branch Manager

Schedule:Monday - Friday with rotating Saturdays.

Compensation: The position offers a pay range of $17.50 to $19.00, based on experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Unload inventory from incoming vehicles. Inspect inventory for damage. Process and stock inventory.
• Pickcorrectproduct and quantities for orders and/or transfers. Load racks and trucks with glass.
• Clean glass, assessing stock for damage. Affix proper labels to glass.
• Timely follow delivery route and time schedules to deliver product and receive returns. Process/record payments and input data into ordering system.
• Safelyoperatethe delivery vehicle.
• Receive and process return stock.
• Complete logs and documentation.
• Break down boxes, stock accessories , organize inventory as directed.
• Interact andassistcustomers during delivery and at will call.
• Assistinmaintaining appearance of branch as needed. Clean warehouse, counter area, etc.
• Adhere to health & safety policies and quality standards. This position is considered safety sensitive.
• Perform other job tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Pass an MVR check
• Safely and competentlyoperateforklifts, reach trucks, pickers
• Have 3-5 years of driving and delivery experience
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Be organized, detail orientated,accurate, and adaptable to warehouse environments

EDUCATION AND LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• DOT Medical card preferred

POSITION SUMMARY:

The driver/warehouse associate is the backbone of the automotive glass business and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of getting products to our customers. The driver/warehouse associate p rovides excellent customer service by making prompt and courteous deliveries of customer orders and assisting in will-call pickups. The driver/warehouse associate performs generaldeliverydriver, warehouse duties, and customerassistanceas needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position is considered a safety sensitive position. It requires close visual acuity to perform activities such as: viewing a computer terminal/mobile device; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts; Ability to perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels, and making fine discriminations in sound; Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must have finger grip strength to properly handle glass. Must be able to remain in a stationary position and/or upright, for prolonged periods of time, traverse stairs, maneuver in tight spaces, reach overhead, squat, bend, kneel, stoop, and crouch occasionally during 8-10-hour work shift.
