Job summary

The Alexandria Echo Press in Minnesota, part of Forum Communications Company, is seeking a Driver-Van (Non DOT Regulated) to deliver printed materials safely and on time to vendors and internal sites.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, verifying packing slips and logs, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, and communicating delivery status to dispatch. Must have a valid driver's license, pass background checks, and be 21+. Compensation is $20/hr.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or related experience or training is ideal.
  • Knowledge of the delivery area strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions.
  • Ability to listen and respond to service issues.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record.

  • Load and unload products, ensuring all items are properly secured to prevent damage in transit.
  • Verify delivery documentation, including packing slips, invoices, and delivery logs, ensuring accuracy before departure.
  • Provide professional, courteous customer service when interacting with clients, vendors, and internal staff.
  • Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned vehicle, reporting any maintenance or repair needs promptly.
  • Follow all company safety policies, traffic laws, and local regulations.
  • In the event of an accident involving a company vehicle, employee is required to follow procedure as detailed in FCP Motor Vehicle Safety Program.
  • Communicate delivery status, delays, or issues to the dispatch/operations team in a timely manner.
  • Maintain prompt and reliable attendance.

Job Summary

The Driver-Van (Non DOT Regulated) role is responsible for the safe, timely, and professional transportation of printed materials to vendors and internal locations.
