Job summary

Jimmy John’s in Grapevine, TX is seeking a delivery driver to handle in-shop tasks when not on delivery, take phone orders, and deliver sandwiches to customers. You will process payments and ensure accurate change, while following established routes and company policies.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate, read, and write English fluently.
• Age 18+, valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record.
• Employment contingent upon successfully passing a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all Inshopper tasks while not on a delivery.
• Know your schedule, arrive on time or call your manager if you will be late.
• Takes phone orders and completes delivery tickets in a courteous and timely manner.
• Delivers sandwich orders to customers in a safe, courteous, and timely manner in the designated delivery area only.
• Accepts payment from customers and provides correct change without cash handling errors.
• Reconciles cash from delivery sales with management at the end of the shift, including tips, DMR, and miles driven.
• Fills out systems and procedures with 100% accuracy and integrity.
• Maintains professional appearance per Jimmy John’s Dress Code.
• Displays a positive and enthusiastic approach to all assignments.
• Performs other related duties as requested.
• Displays a sense of urgency in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all Inshopper tasks while not on a delivery.
• Know your schedule, arrive on time or if you are going to be late, call your manager before your scheduled start time.
• Takes phone orders and completes delivery tickets in a courteous and timely manner.
• Delivers sandwich orders to customers in safe, courteous, and timely manner in established delivery area only.
• Accepts payment from customers for orders and provides correct change without cash handling errors.
• Works with management at the end of the shift to reconcile cash from delivery sales, including accepting tips, DMR, and confirming miles driven for the shift based on the current systems in place.
• Fills out systems and procedures with 100% accuracy and integrity.
• Maintains professional appearance at all times in compliance with Jimmy John's Dress Code.
• Displays a positive and enthusiastic approach to all assignments.
• Performs other related duties as requested.
• Displays a sense of urgency in all tasks.

Skills & Abilities

• Must be able to communicate, read, and write the English language fluently and clearly.
• Position requires bending, reaching, stooping, climbing, repetitive motions, cognitive skills, lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, and moving about the unit the entire workday.
• Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, current automobile insurance, and a clean driving record.

Jimmy John's Delivery Driver's goal is to get that sandwich in the customer's hand as quick as can be. We do this by learning the most efficient route, double checking orders to ensure everything is accounted for, and hustling on our feet (while always being safe and law abiding while on the street).

While not on the road, Drivers work as In Shoppers and are compensated accordingly. Delivery is a customer service job, so following customer's request and doing it with a smile can lead to more successful days.
