Job summary

G&J Pepsi-Cola Bottlers, Inc. is seeking a Driver Trainee to support the sales team by training in multiple positions and providing coverage during absences. The role involves delivering, stocking, displaying, and maintaining products at customer locations while building strong retailer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Delivers, stocks, rotates, displays, and maintains products at customer locations to standard.
• Builds positive relationships with customers, Territory Account Managers and Pepsi teams.
• Invoices customers and collects payment.
• Handles, stocks, and organizes alcoholic products.
• Communicates effectively with retailers and internal teams.
• Follows policies, safety standards, and PPE requirements; maintains records.
• Maintains customer inventory and delivers correct product quantities on schedule.
• Completes paperwork including DOT logs and protects pricing and customer data.
• Works assigned schedule, maintains attendance, and supports other duties.

Schedule:

4 days/week - 10-hour shifts - starting at 5am.

Position Summary

To serve our customers by being trained to perform the job duties of different positions within the sales team and also to provide coverage for these positions during absences.

Essential Functions

• Delivers, stocks, rotates, displays, and maintains products at customer locations according to established standards.
• Builds positive relationships with customers, consumers, Territory Account Managers, Territory Delivery Managers, and internal Pepsi teams.
• Invoices customers and collects payment.
• Handles, stocks, and organizes alcoholic products.
• Communicates effectively with retailers, Pepsi management, supervisors, and co-workers.
• Follows company policies, safety requirements, AIB and Pepsi standards, and applicable laws; wears required PPE.
• Maintains customer inventory by delivering appropriate product quantities between scheduled deliveries.
• Completes required paperwork, including DOT logs, and protects confidential pricing, promotion, and customer information.
• Works assigned schedule, maintains regular attendance, works overtime as needed, and performs other duties as assigned.

Education Level

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

Experience

6-12 months of previous sales experience with a consumer product line and customer relations experience.

Certifications & Licenses

Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License; employee must be insurable to operate a vehicle, as a condition of initial and continued employment.
