Central Pre-Mix Concrete Co., a CRH Company, is seeking a Driver Supervisor to lead a CDL driver team in Spokane Valley, WA. The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and productive daily execution in a on-site setting.

You will mentor drivers, coordinate with Dispatch, monitor DOT compliance, and manage performance and scheduling while maintaining a fair, proactive leadership approach. This full-time position offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and direction to a team of drivers, including annual performance appraisals, hiring, discipline, training, and scheduling mentor meetings.
• Daily coordination with Dispatch Supervisor in implementation of Teamster contract including out of town assignments, driver conduct performance, and attendance.
• Observe drivers in the field ensuring timely and efficient deliveries, excellent customer relations, and safe operation of our equipment.
• Follow-up on delivery complaints and driver complaints; identify quality control issues.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and assist with audits as required.
• Oversee Smith System Driver Training for all drivers.
• Communicate with Transportation Manager to improve productivity.
• Manage union contracts, assign trucks, and monitor driver qualifications.
• Represent drivers’ interests in issues with shop, dispatch, management or office.
• Investigate and coordinate with Safety Director on property damage and injuries; take appropriate disciplinary action.
• Coordinate and resolve delivery access problems.
• Regular and timely attendance.
• Promote an inclusive work environment.

What You’ll Do…

As the Driver Supervisor, you will supervise, support, and develop a team of CDL drivers, steering them towards excellence in execution and customer service, and ensuring that each day is safe and productive. You will be the go-to person for resolving customer and driver issues, all while maintaining a consistent and fair approach. You will be the cornerstone of our transportation team, solving problems with agility and ensuring every journey is a success.

Location:

This is an on-site position located in Spokane Valley, WA.

Shift:

Primarily work 8 – 12 hours per day, Monday – Friday. Occasional evenings and weekends as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 1 – 2 years field experience around concrete, aggregates, or heavy civil construction.

• Strong customer service and critical thinking skills, allowing you to evaluate complex situations and develop effective solutions in a professional and courteous manner.
• Proficiency with PC programs and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Flexibility to meet team and customer needs, with a readiness to adjust work hours when necessary.
• A valid driver’s license, current authorization to work in the United States, and pass pre-employment controlled-substance testing. This position is not eligible for current or future sponsorship for employment visa status.

Compensation & Company Benefits:

• Annual Base Salary $86,000 - $91,500 DOE

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

• Provide supervision and direction to a team of drivers, including annual performance appraisals, hiring, discipline, training, and scheduling mentor meetings.
• Daily coordination with Dispatch Supervisor in implementation of Teamster contract including out of town assignments, driver conduct performance, and attendance.
• Observe drivers in the field insuring timely and efficient deliveries, excellent customer relations,and safe operation of our equipment.
• Follow-up on delivery complaints, driver complaints and be observant of quality control problems.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and assist with audits as required.
• Oversee Smith System Driver Training for all drivers.
• Communicate regularly with Transportation Manager regarding driver efficiency in order to improve productivity.
• Interpret and work effectively within the guidelines of the company charter and union contracts.
• Manage applicable unioncontracts, assign trucks and keep schedule of driver qualifications. Assist with contract negotiations as required.
• Represent drivers' interests in problems with shop, dispatch, management or office.
• Handle all property damage complaints associated with drivers; insure proper reporting of incidents and follow up. Work with dispatch personnel researching truck and driver related information.
• Investigate and coordinate with Safety Director regarding all driver related property damage and industrial injury accidents. Complete required reports and take appropriate disciplinary action (warning letter, suspension, termination).
• Coordinate and resolve delivery access problems.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Regular and timely attendance.
