Van School DriverWe are seeking a responsible and safety-focused Van Driver to join our student transportation team. In this role, you will operate a company-provided van to transport students safely and reliably between Open Minds and local elementary schools. This position requires a valid standard driver's license and a commitment to ensuring student safety, professionalism, and punctuality.This position is a split shift, Monday–Friday, covering approximately 2 hours before school drop-off and 2 hours after school pick-up (approx. 4 hours/day), at $20.00/hour.Key ResponsibilitiesSafely operate a company van in compliance with federal transportation regulationsTransport students between Open Minds and local elementary schools for morning drop-off and afternoon pick-upEnsure the safety and well-being of all student passengers during boarding, transit, and exitingPerform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections dailyMaintain a clean, orderly, and safe vehicle environmentFollow assigned routes and schedules with reliability and punctualityCommunicate effectively with dispatch, school staff, parents (as needed), and supervisorsComplete required documentation such as mileage logs and incident reportsRemain alert, attentive, and compassionate while supervising students on boardINDOMHPRequirementsValid standard driver's licenseMust meet all DMV and DOT requirementsClean driving record and strong attendance historyAbility to pass background check, drug screening, and DOT physicalHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and maintain professionalism in all interactionsReliable availability for both morning and afternoon shift windowsEqual Employment Opportunity StatementOpen Minds Child Development Center is proud to be an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
