Job summary

Open Minds Child Development is seeking a responsible Van Driver to operate a company van and transport students safely between Open Minds and local elementary schools during a split shift.

The role requires a valid standard driver's license, compliance with DMV and DOT Regulations, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and a DOT physical. This position is Monday through Friday, about four hours per day, with emphasis on reliability and safety.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a company van in compliance with federal transportation regulations.
• Transport students between Open Minds and local elementary schools for morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all student passengers during boarding, transit, and exiting.
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections daily.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe vehicle environment.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules with reliability and punctuality.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, school staff, parents (as needed), and supervisors.
• Complete required documentation such as mileage logs and incident reports.
• Remain alert, attentive, and compassionate while supervising students on board.

Van School DriverWe are seeking a responsible and safety-focused Van Driver to join our student transportation team. In this role, you will operate a company-provided van to transport students safely and reliably between Open Minds and local elementary schools.
