Job summary

Equus Workforce Solutions is hiring to support Job Corps programs focused on youth achievement and career readiness. The instructor will foster a positive classroom climate, adapt Driver’s Education curriculum to learners’ experiences, and maintain thorough records and reports to support student progress and program compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, teaching certification eligibility, and experience with diverse youth, with a valid state driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience.
• Possession of or eligibility for temporary teaching certification in the state where the Center is located.
• Experience working with diverse youth.

Responsibilities

• Promotes a positive atmosphere to maximize student motivation.
• Maintains classroom discipline to ensure maximum learning.
• Establishes strong student/instructor rapport.
• Individualizes the Driver’s Education curriculum to fit students’ experiences.
• Prepares lesson plans and course material.
• Maintains documentation and reports (hours, attendance, evaluations).
• Operates in accordance with PRH and SOPs and company policies.
• Communicates effectively and models employability skills.
• Ensures a safe, harassment-free learning environment.
