Job summary

Mazzella is seeking a Driver to deliver and pick up products across routes in a timely, safe, and courteous manner. You will represent the company professionally, ensure efficient routes, and support customer satisfaction while adhering to DOT regulations.

The role requires strong time management, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, a valid license, and forklift experience; training and background checks are part of the process.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to lift and/or pull a minimum of 50 pounds frequently.
  • Valid current driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a wide variety of products to different addresses and routes.
  • Follow route and time schedule.
  • Perform routine truck checks (tire pressure, oil, fuel).
  • Pack and load trucks per company specs; unload goods per customer specs.
  • Follow maintenance schedule and notify supervisor of truck issues.
  • Maintain a clean truck and work area; keep delivery log up to date.

Brief Description

The Driver is responsible for helping meet the needs of the customers by delivering and picking up products in a timely, safe and courteous manner. The Driver will represent the company in a professional and cost-effective manner aimed at increasing profitability and customer satisfaction.

  • Deliver a wide variety of products to different addresses and through different routes
  • Follow route and time schedule
  • Perform routine operational checks on the truck prior to delivery (tire pressure, oil levels, fuel, etc.)
  • Pack and load trucks according to company specifications
  • Unload goods as per customer specifications
  • Follow maintenance schedule on trucks as outlined by Supervisor
  • Notify Supervisor when there is a problem with the trucks and make sure it is corrected
  • Inform Supervisor of all information that the customer is conveying to them while making the delivery
  • Perform other duties as directed by Supervisor when not making deliveries
  • Maintain a clean truck and work area
  • Record and maintain daily delivery pickup log
  • Arrives to work, meetings, appointments and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled
  • Meets agreed upon goals and objectives effectively and in a timely manner
  • Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
  • Maintains possession and security of all credentials, as applicable
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Excellent time management skills

  • Must be able to lift and/or pull a minimum of 50 pounds frequently
  • Valid current driver’s license and overall clean driving record.
  • Ability to obtain DOT certification
  • Previous experience operating propane powered forklift strongly preferred
  • Requires solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
  • Strong analytical, conceptual and planning skills are required
  • Excellent math skills and overall PC literacy (Microsoft Office) are required
  • Must be detail oriented, self-motivated and disciplined with the ability to multi-task
  • Must successfully complete a criminal background check, physical, drug screen and E-verify
