Job summary

DSV is seeking a Regional Driver to perform same-day pickup and delivery within a defined geographic area, maintaining safety and professional service. The role includes multi-stop routing, dock routines, and compliance with DOT regulations.

The successful candidate will hold a CDL A license, have 2+ years of CDL A experience, and demonstrate load securement skills, GPS navigation ability, and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

  • Valid CDL A license required.
  • 2+ years CDL A driving in last 4 years; 3+ preferred.
  • Must meet DOT FMCSR 391.41.
  • No positive drug or alcohol tests in past 5 years.
  • No bodily injury accidents in past 3 years.
  • Experience in local P&D operations and multi-stop routing preferred.
  • Strong load securement and freight handling understanding.
  • Ability to navigate with GPS/route planning tools.
  • Demonstrated customer service in client-facing environments.
  • Experience handling high-value or sensitive freight preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational/time management skills.
  • TWIC card or ability to obtain within 90 days if required.

Responsibilities

  • Drives semi-tractor/trailers for up to 11 hours after 10 hours off-duty on runs up to a week or more.
  • Backstrailers to customer dock.
  • Maintain compliance with Federal/State safety regulations and safe driving.
  • Communicate with customer representatives in a respectful and efficient manner.
  • Coordinate with dispatchers.
  • Comply with DOT drug/alcohol testing requirements.
  • Secure cargo and balance it in the vehicle.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.

Summary

The regional Truck Driver safety and efficiently completed regional deliveries with care, professionalism, and precision.

The CDL A Driveris responsible forexecuting same-day pickup and delivery (P&D) operations within a defined geographic area, ensuring safe,timely, andaccuratetransportation of freight.

This role requires a safety-first mindset, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to providing high-quality, professional service. Drivers are expected to manage multiple stops per shift,maintainaccurateshipment documentation, and represent DSV professionally at all customer interactions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Drives semi-tractor/trailers for up to 11 hours after 10 hoursoff-dutyon runs of up to one week or more.

Backstrailers to customer dock.

Maintains compliance with Federal and State safety regulations and safe and professional driving behavior.

Communicates with customer representatives inpleasant, respectful, and efficient manner.

Communicating and coordinating with dispatchers.

Complies withall DOT requirements including drug and alcohol testing (subject to random and reasonable-suspicion drug and alcohol testing).

Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle.

Ensure that any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving.

Swings andsecurestrailer doors.

Performs other duties asrequired.

Qualifications& Experience

Valid CDL A Licenserequired

Minimum 2 years of CDL A driving experience within the last 4 years (3+ years preferred)

Must meet DOT qualification requirements (FMCSR 391.41)

No positive drug or alcohol testresultsin the past five (5) yrs.

No accident involving bodily injury within the last three (3) yrs.

Experience in local P&D operations, multi-stop routing, and urban driving environments preferred

Strong understanding of load securement and freight handling

Ability to navigate efficiently using GPS and route planning tools

Demonstrated customer service skills and professionalism in customer-facing environments

Experience handling high-value or sensitive freight preferred

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills

TWIC card (or ability to obtain within90 days, ifrequired)

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this position, the employeeis regularly required tooperatea commercial vehicle and perform physical freight handling activities, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Sit for extended periods whileoperatinga commercial vehicle

Use hands and fingers tooperatesteering wheel, controls, GPS, and electronic logging devices

Frequently enter and exit the cab (4–6 feet) multiple times per shift

Lift, carry, push, and pull freight ranging from 1–125 pounds (team lift or equipment-assisted whenrequired)

Lift up to 50 pounds independently

Frequently reach at or above shoulder height, at waist level, and below waist level

Bend, twist, squat, kneel, and crouch during loading/unloading and inspections

Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tractor and trailer

Hook/unhook trailers,operatelanding gear, fifth wheel release, and related equipment

Walk and stand for portions of the shift on surfaces such as concrete, metal, or dock plates, which may be uneven, wet, or slippery

Operate foot pedals and manual transmission (if applicable)

While performing the duties of this role, the employee works in a combination of environments including inside a truck cab and outdoors at customer locations, terminals, and on public roadways. The position requires regular exposure to varying weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, and wind during loading and unloading activities. The employee may also be exposed to diesel fumes, airborne particles, noise, and vibration associated with operating commercial vehicles. Work isfrequentlyperformed in busy warehouse yards, loading docks, and urban delivery environments, which may include tight spaces, traffic congestion, and time-sensitive delivery schedules. Noise levels can range from moderate inside the cab to loud at customer sites and industrial locations.

For this position, the expected base pay is $0.60 - $0.62 CPM. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
