Job summary

WP Rawl is seeking a Driver Recruiter to staff Class A CDL drivers and manage Driver Qualification (DQ) files in a growing fresh produce environment in South Carolina.

You will partner with hiring managers to identify needs, source qualified drivers, conduct initial interviews, coordinate interviews and road tests, and ensure DOT/FMCSA compliance across records and renewals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience recruiting drivers or in transportation compliance.
• Familiarity with DOT/FMCSA and driver qualification files.
• Proficient in MS Office and ATS usage.

Responsibilities

• Partner with hiring managers to identify current and upcoming Class A CDL driver staffing needs.
• Source and proactively contact qualified driver candidates.
• Review applications and conduct initial phone interviews.
• Coordinate onsite interviews, road tests, and other steps in the selection process.
• Maintain accurate candidate information in the applicant tracking system.
• Assist candidates with consent forms, pre-employment requirements, and onboarding documents.
• Maintain complete and accurate Driver Qualification (DQ) files, to include MVRs, DL's, and Medical certificates.
• Communicate with driver management regarding upcoming expirations and required renewals.
• Ensure required driver documents are received, updated, and properly filed.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified drivers.
• Assist with audits by gathering documentation and addressing follow-up requests.
• Support other recruiting, compliance, and HR functions as needed.

As a Driver Recruiter, you will coordinate the recruitment and onboarding of experienced Class A CDL drivers. You will also maintain driver qualification records and help ensure ongoing compliance with company, Department of Transportation, and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration requirements.

• Support other recruiting, compliance, and Human Resources functions as needed

What You Need to Succeed

• High school diploma or GED
• One to three years of recruiting, transportation compliance, or related experience
• Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple candidates, deadlines, and compliance requirements
• Comfortable making outbound calls and proactively engaging candidates
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using an applicant tracking system
• Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record
• Experience with Class A CDL recruiting, DQ files, MVRs, and DOT/FMCSA requirements
• Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems required, Tenstreet is a plus
