Job summary

WP Rawl in Pelion, SC is seeking a Driver Recruiter to source, screen, and onboard experienced Class A CDL drivers and maintain Driver Qualification files. You will partner with hiring managers, coordinate interviews and road tests, review applications, and keep accurate candidate information in the applicant tracking system while ensuring DOT/FMCSA compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• One to three years of recruiting, transportation compliance, or related experience
• Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple candidates, deadlines, and compliance requirements
• Comfortable making outbound calls and proactively engaging candidates
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using an applicant tracking system
• Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record
• Experience with Class A CDL recruiting, DQ files, MVRs, and DOT/FMCSA requirements
• Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems required, Tenstreet is a plus

Responsibilities

• Partner with hiring managers to identify current and upcoming Class A CDL driver staffing needs
• Source and proactively contact qualified driver candidates
• Review applications and conduct initial phone interviews
• Coordinate onsite interviews, road tests, and other steps in the selection process
• Maintain accurate candidate information in the applicant tracking system
• Assist candidates with consent forms, pre-employment requirements, and onboarding documents
• Maintain complete and accurate Driver Qualification (DQ) files, to include MVRs, DL's, and Medial certificates
• Communicate with driver management regarding upcoming expirations and required renewals
• Ensure required driver documents are received, updated, and properly filed
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified drivers
• Assist with internal and external audits by gathering documentation, reviewing records, and addressing follow-up requests
• Support other recruiting, compliance, and Human Resources functions as needed

Your Role: Driver Recruiter

As a Driver Recruiter, you will coordinate the recruitment and onboarding of experienced Class A CDL drivers. You will also maintain driver qualification records and help ensure ongoing compliance with company, Department of Transportation, and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration requirements.
