Job summary

The Missouri Veterans Home is seeking a part-time Driver to safely transport Veterans to medical appointments and perform transfers as required. A CNA or CMT certification is preferred but not mandatory, and a valid Missouri Class E license is required.

Responsible for coordinating transportation, ensuring Veteran safety, and providing care during transport. No benefits are provided at this time.

Qualifications

• Must be able to drive safely and transport Veterans to medical appointments.
• Experience with patient transfers and basic caregiving is a plus.
• Certification credentials are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Transport Veterans to external medical appointments and transfer as needed.
• Schedule transportation for medical appointments and coordinate routes.
• Drive bus/van during day and night, in town and highways.
• CMT drivers may administer medications during transport as needed.

Job description

The Missouri Veterans Home is looking for a part-time Driver. We need a trusted individual to safely transport our Veterans where they need to go - doctor's office, hospital, or specialty care centers. A Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Medication Technician is preferred but not required for this position.

Hourly Pay:

• $16.99 - $18.94
• Pay based on certification

Examples of Work:

CNA and/or CMT Driver

• Transport the Veteran to external medical appointments and perform Veteran transfers and care as required by the Veteran
• Assure protective oversight of Veteran while in care outside of the facility, which may include meals, repositioning, hygiene, care and safety
• Schedule transportation for medical appointments
• Drive bus/van during day and at night, in town and highways
• CMT Drivers will administer medications during transport as needed

Non-CNA Driver

• Transport the Veteran to external medical appointments
• Schedule transportation for medical appointments
• Drive bus/van during day and at night, in town and highways

Qualifications:

• Current Missouri Class E driver license
• Valid Missouri certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred
• Certified Medical Technician (CMT) preferred
