Job summary

Rp Lumber is hiring a Non-CDL Delivery Driver for our Monon lumberyard in Indiana. This on-site, full-time role involves delivering lumber in a non-CDL company vehicle, building accurate loads, and providing excellent customer service to contractors and homeowners.

When not delivering, you will assist in the yard with loading, unloading, forklift work, and inventory, ensuring safety and accuracy. A valid Indiana driver's license and For-Hire Endorsement are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Indiana driver’s license with For-Hire Endorsement and current medical certificate.
• Clean driving record for the past 60 months.
• Clear communication with customers, teammates and managers.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather.
• Ability to lift 50–100 pounds frequently.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lumber and building materials to homes and jobsites in a non-CDL vehicle.

Employment Position: Non-CDL Driver (Lumber & Building Materials)

Monon, IN | On-site | Full-time | $15.00–$20.00 per hour

R.P. Lumber is hiring a Non-CDL Delivery Driver for our Monon, Indiana lumberyard. This is a local, physical role for someone who can drive a Non-CDL company vehicle, build accurate loads, and treat contractors and homeowners well.

You will report to the General Manager. When you are not on a delivery, you will help in the yard with loading / unloading freight, forklift work, and provide excellent customer service.

What you will do

Deliveries

• Deliver lumber and building materials to homes and jobsites in a non-CDL company vehicle
• Use efficient, legal routes and meet delivery schedules
• Unload product at the jobsite while following all safety protocols
• Keep assigned vehicles clean and complete routine safety checks
• Represent the company with professional customer service on every stop

Yard, loading, and inventory

• Greet customers and contractors in the yard
• Load customer vehicles and company trucks after checking the ticket against the product
• Unload incoming freight without damaging product or carrier equipment
• Operate a forklift to stock and merchandise the yard and warehouse
• Build accurate loads and materials before delivery
• Help keep assigned yard areas stocked, faced, priced, and organized
• Answer basic questions about product, orders, pricing, and delivery timing
• Perform other showroom and yard duties assigned by the General Manager

What you need to have

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Indiana driver’s license with a For-Hire Endorsement and a current medical certificate
• Acceptable driving record for the prior 60 months
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers, teammates, and managers
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in changing or extreme weather
• Ability to perform the essential physical functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, including sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and frequently lifting or moving 50 to 100 pounds

Nice to have

• About one year of related yard, delivery, or building-materials experience
• Knowledge of lumber and construction products
• Forklift experience (training is available)

Pay and benefits

Pay range: $15.00–$20.00 per hour

Starting pay is based on job-related factors permitted by law, including relevant experience, education, skills, licenses, certifications, market conditions, and work location.

Schedule and work location

This is an on-site position. Work includes local deliveries and yard support. Weekend and holiday work is required based on store and delivery needs.
