Job summary

DMT Trucking, LLC in the United States is seeking a Driver Manager to oversee the daily activity of our driver personnel and ensure on-time, safe deliveries for our expanding fleet.

You will coordinate with load planners, assign work via McLeod, guide drivers across territories, and ensure compliance with trucking regulations. A background in logistics and strong communication skills are required, with flatbed experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field, or 1–3 years of dispatch or fleet management experience.
• Proficient experience with truck dispatch software.
• Flatbed experience is a plus.
• Microsoft Office knowledge.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Detail oriented with strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate ETAs with load planners.
• Use McLeod to assign work to drivers nationwide.
• Direct daily driver activities to territories or dedicated operations per policies.
• Provide guidance to drivers on complying with local, state and federal trucking statutes.
• Ensure drivers are safe, productive, and deliver on time.
• Counsel drivers and assist with over-the-road issues.
• Assist drivers with license renewals, random drug tests and physicals.

DMT Trucking is a specialized flatbed operation, and part of the PS Logistics family of companies.

DMT currently runs over 250 trucks and almost 375 trailers from our three terminals in Starke, FL, Camden, AL, and Broken Bow, OK. DMT Trucking provides safe and reliable transportation to customers across the eastern half of the United States, and is unique to any other PS Logistics owned company in that its fleet of over the road trailers is comprised of all 53-foot trailers.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:

• Communicate ETAs with load planners
• Utilize McLeod, which is our operating software, to assign work to drivers all over the country
• Direct the daily activities of drivers to designated territories or dedicated operations in accordance with company policies, procedures, and business objectives
• Providing drivers with guidance on complying with any applicable local, state and federal statutes regulating the trucking industry.
• Ensure that drivers are safe, productive, and deliver on-time to our customers.
• Counseling drivers and assisting them with over the road issues
• Assist drivers with keeping important documents up to date such as driver's license renewal, random drug tests and physicals
  

Qualifications

• Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or any related field or 1-3 years of experience in dispatch or fleet management
• Proficient experience with truck dispatch software
• Flatbed Experience a plus
• Microsoft Office knowledge
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Must be detail oriented and have a great interpersonal skills
