The Driver Manager oversees UniGroup's contract truckman/truckload (CT/TL) fleet, ensuring loads are planned, assigned, and executed efficiently while maximizing fleet utilization and service performance. This role combines transportation planning, fleet coordination, relationship management, and operational problem-solving to keep freight moving safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
This is an individual contributor position with direct ownership of fleet operations. You'll partner closely with independent contractors, agents, dispatchers, van operators, payroll, and other cross-functional teams to coordinate equipment, assign loads, support drivers, and resolve operational challenges.
Success in this role requires strong decision-making, effective communication, sound operational judgment, and the ability to balance customer service with transportation efficiency.
