Autumn Glen Senior Living in Coon Rapids, MN is seeking a Full-Time Driver/Life Enrichment Assistant to join our engaging and supportive team. The role combines bus driving with life enrichment activities to enhance daily living for residents.

The position includes a 20-hour bus driving and 20-hour life enrichment split with day shifts and alternating weekends/holidays. The hourly wage ranges from $17.50 to $21.50, commensurate with experience, with a focus on safety, compassion, and resident

Qualifications

• Must meet all applicable state and federal requirements for this position.
• 1+ years of experience in social or recreational programming in Health Care or related field preferred.
• Fluent in English, verbal and written.

Responsabilités

• Assist with planning and leading activities, events, outings, and programs that promote resident engagement and socialization.
• Encourage and assist residents with participating in activities based on their interests and abilities.
• Safely transport residents to appointments, shopping trips, activities, and community outings.
• Assist residents with safely entering and exiting the bus and provide support as needed.
• Complete basic vehicle safety checks, maintain cleanliness, and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Provide a friendly, patient, and positive experience for residents while supporting their overall well-being.

Summary Of Position

The Life Enrichment Assistant plays an integral role in the success of our team, our community and creating a place our residents are proud to call home. The primary purpose of this position is to help facilitate day-to-day programs and scheduled events.

• Full Time Day shift, includes every other weekend and holiday rotation.
• $17.50 - $21.50 Hourly depending on experience
• 20 hours per week bus driving/20 hours per week Life Enrichment

Essential Job Functions

• Assist with planning and leading activities, events, outings, and programs that promote resident engagement and socialization.
• Encourage and assist residents with participating in activities based on their interests and abilities.
• Safely transport residents to appointments, shopping trips, activities, and community outings.
• Assist residents with safely entering and exiting the bus and provide support as needed.

Knowledge And Critical Skills

• Be able to make independent decisions and follow instructions.
• Deal tactfully with personnel, prospects, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public.
• Capable of working with ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset people within the facility.
• Communicate effectively in a manner that is sufficient for supervisors, team members, prospects, residents, and families.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Education And Experience

• Must meet all applicable state and federal requirements for this position.
• One + years of experience in social or recreational programming in Health Care or related field preferred.
• Fluent in English, verbal and written.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have direct reports or supervisory requirements.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

Tasks assigned to this position may involve potential and/or direct exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious diseases, air contaminants, and hazardous chemicals.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Prolong periods of standing, walking community
• Must be able to lift, carry and pull up to 30 pounds at timesMust be able to push up to 50 pounds at time
• Times when kneeling, crouching and reaching
• Alternate between standing and sitting

Cognitive Requirements

• Executes tasks independently
• Ability to express yourself clearly and effectively
• General computer literacy

Environmental Requirements

• Ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment
• Times where you may work outdoors in varying weather conditions (e.g., if there is a barbeque).

Other Requirements --

• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays, upon request
• Ability to work overtime as needed
