Job summary

Service Oklahoma seeks a Licensing Examiner (part-time) in Muskogee to conduct driver license interviews, examinations, and inspections while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. The role supports issuance and denial of driving privileges and state IDs across designated districts.

As a part-time, temporary position, candidates may work up to 24 hours weekly; some Saturdays may be required.

Responsibilities

• Interviews applicants to determine the type of license or identification required and verifies documents for identity and eligibility.
• Advises applicants on why an application cannot be accepted and how to resolve issues including medical disqualifications.
• Evaluates medical, physical, or mental information and advises on waivers or restrictions for driving privileges.
• Conducts in-depth vehicle safety inspections for tests and evaluates knowledge and ability to operate vehicles.
• Administers vision, written, pre-trip and skills tests as appropriate and determines needed improvements.
• Establishes driver license records and maintains confidentiality of information.
• Assists Legal Division by gathering evidence for potential action on fraudulent applications.
• Responds to inquiries from motor license agents and informs on laws and procedures.
