Job summary

DMCI. is seeking reliable movers to transport household and commercial items between destinations in the Washington DC area. You will work with a crew, use maps to select routes, and ensure timely, careful handling of every item.

The role requires a valid driver’s license and a clean driving history, along with the ability to lift and move heavy furniture and wrap items for protection. Starting pay is competitive for Maryland moving services.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license and a clean driving history.
• Ability to safely load/unload and move heavy furniture.
• Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance and mileage/repair records.

Responsibilities

• Transport clients' items to and from destinations with the crew.
• Use navigation apps to determine the best route.
• Interact with clients professionally at all times.
• Ensure the vehicle is fueled and ready for use.
• Keep mileage and repair records up-to-date.
• Wrap furniture in protective material.
• Load, pack and unload items with care.
• Ensure no items are damaged during moving.
• Place furniture in requested positions at the new location.
• Take inventory and prevent loss during transportation.

Starting at $20 an hour

Physical Demands: While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms; frequently required to climb or balance, talk or hear; and occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must be able to walk forward, backward, side to side, and/or up and down stairs while carrying furniture. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
