AdventHealth is seeking a dedicated Delivery Driver to perform routine and on-demand routes, delivering mail, linens, medical supplies, and patient records with accuracy and timeliness. The role requires logging deliveries, maintaining vehicle logs, and providing exceptional customer service while ensuring safety and compliance.

Responsibilities include operating a range of vehicles, coordinating schedules with departments, and adapting to nights, weekends, or holidays as needed.

Qualificações

• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse backgrounds.
• Self-starter capable of budgeting time and tasks.
• Ability to identify and sort items for correct delivery.
• Ability to read and speak English.
• Courteous, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
• Ability to use scanning devices to log deliveries.
• Good judgment in emergencies.
• Ability to drive sedans to small box trucks.
• Knowledge of Orlando and surrounding areas is preferred.

Job Description:

Responsible for performing daily assigned routes and on-demand duties to ensure accurate and timely delivery of mail, linens, documents, packages, biological specimens, medical supplies, equipment, and patient records. This position maintains daily electronic and hard copy vehicle logs of each stop in accordance with department performance measures. Additionally, this role actively participates in providing outstanding customer service and maintaining respectful relationships. In addition, this position is available for various and flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. This role contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of transportation services.

Responsibilities:

• Adheres to all safety protocols and procedures during transportation. Communicates effectively with relevant departments to coordinate transportation needs.
• Operates transportation vehicles in compliance with traffic laws and organizational policies.
• Maintains cleanliness and proper functioning of transportation vehicles.
• Reports any vehicle maintenance issues or incidents promptly.
• Utilizes tracking systems and devices to monitor the status of transported items. Follows proper procedures for the transport of hazardous materials.
• Provides excellent customer service during interactions with staff and clients. Completes required training and certifications for safe transportation practices.
• Transports biological specimens, medical supplies, equipment, reports, patient care records, pharmacy preparations, and related paperwork according to defined schedules or urgent requests.
• Leverages technology to communicate with internal dispatch command center Ensures the security and proper handling of all transported items.
• Maintains accurate and timely delivery records for all transported items.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to communicate effectively and the ability to work with people of various backgrounds. [Required]

Education:

• High School Grad or Equivalent [Preferred]

Work Experience:

• Previous courier experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Driver's License (DL) [Required]
• Forklift and Electric Pallet Jack certification (FKLT) [Preferred]
