Job summary

Sysco is seeking a hardworking Warehouse/Delivery Support Associate to assist delivery drivers, unload and inspect produce quality at customer sites, and help ensure accurate orders.

You will use handcarts and pallet jacks, work in a cold storage environment, and frequently move up to 50 pounds. Safety rules must be followed, and climbing on/off trucks is required for efficient deliveries.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting delivery drivers and handling customer orders is a plus.
• Ability to work in a cold warehouse environment and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to climb on/off trucks and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist delivery driver unloading, checking the quality and delivering the product to the customer location.
• Unload and check the quality products at a customer location, rotate and check the quality of produce.
• Driving to different locations to assist the driver with deliveries.
• Calls in when a customer does not receive their entire order (shorts)
• Handles any customer complaints professionally
• Handles company equipment properly, follow written driver safety rules and performs a pre-trip inspection.

Handcart and electric pallet jack experience

• Know the product delivery schedule.
• If the product meets quality and rotation.

• Frequent moving of product up to 50 pounds during the shift; Must be able to climb on and off the box of the truck.
• Cold warehouse environment.
