Job summary

Anheuser-Busch in San Diego is seeking a temporary Driver Helper to assist our delivery team with beer transport to local accounts. You will work alongside our Drivers to deliver beer and smiles to customers, and help with process tasks during daily routes.

The role offers a path to full-time opportunities with CDL permit guidance. You must be 18+, have a valid license, and be able to lift up to 165 pounds; flexible hours including nights and weekends are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required (no degree required).
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid Driver's License and safe driving record.
• Ability to lift, load, unload, and move products weighing up to 165 pounds.
• Ability to work in wide temperature variation (36° outside).
• Ability and willing to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Ability to drive Non-CDL truck and company owned cargo vans.
• Desire to assist in other departments such as Merchandising, Sales, and Warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Follow an outlined itinerary and work as part of a team with changing routes based on daily need.
• Execute safety training and abide by safety rules and regulations.
• Lift, stack, and transport cases and kegs of beer of varying weights in and out of accounts.
• Rotate product inside accounts via FEFO standards.
• Complete and submit all required paperwork, invoices, display forms, and load sheets on time.
• Ensure accurate completion of Department of Transportation checklist and report maintenance problems and accidents promptly.
• Deliver and manually load/unload product from transportation van or non-CDL truck.
• Collect payment for product when warranted and required.
• May be assigned to warehouse duties during the 4-day work week.

SALARY: $22.75 per hour SHIFT: Monday-Thursday OR Tuesday-Friday Start Time: 5:00AM-7:00AM

We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual for a temporary position with the potential to convert into a full-time, long-term opportunity. The initial temporary role will be a Driver Helper assignment, during which you'll have the opportunity to demonstrate your skills and contribute to the team. To be considered for a permanent conversion into our Delivery team, we’re looking for individuals interested in obtaining their CDL permits, and ultimately, their CDL-As. We’ll guide and train you along the way!

ROLE SUMMARY:

• San Diego Lift, stack, and transport cases and kegs of beer of varying weights in and out of accounts
• Rotate product inside of accounts via FEFO standards.
• Complete and submit all required paperwork, invoices, display forms, and load sheets within appropriate time frames
• Ensure accurate completion of Department of Transportation checklist, and report maintenance problems and accidents in a timely manner
• Deliver and manually load and unload product from transportation van or non-cdl truck
• Collect payment for product when warranted and required.
• May be assigned to warehouse duties as needed during 4-day work week
