Job summary

UPS is seeking a Seasonal Driver Helper in Indianapolis to assist a delivery driver with outdoor package delivery to homes and businesses. You will lift, carry, and sort packages, interact with customers, and help ensure timely, safe deliveries.

This seasonal role requires flexibility, including Saturdays and holidays, with shifts offered based on daily needs. Base pay is $18.40 per hour and opportunities for future roles within UPS may exist.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift, lower and carry packages up to 70 lbs.
• Sturdy boots or slip-resistant footwear for outdoor work.
• Weather-appropriate clothing for outdoor conditions.
• Flexibility with day-to-day scheduling, including Saturdays and holidays.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Ride Along with a Driver as a Seasonal Driver Helper

Looking for a physically active seasonal opportunity in your community? As a Driver Helper, you'll team up with a UPS package delivery driver to help deliver packages to homes and businesses. You'll spend your day outdoors, interacting with customers, and helping ensure packages are delivered safely and on time.

This is a seasonal position that requires your flexibility. Work opportunities are offered each morning based on operational needs and your availability. Schedules vary and can include Monday through Saturday, holidays, and peak delivery periods.

When assigned work, you'll meet your driver at a designated pick-up location (meet point), often near your home or within your community. Helpers do not drive the brown truck.

What you’ll need:

• Ability to lift, lower, and carry packages weighing up to 70 lbs.
• Sturdy work boots or slip-resistant shoes suitable for outdoor work
• Weather-appropriate attire for outdoor work
• Flexibility with day-to-day scheduling, based on business needs and your availability
• Saturdays and holiday work required – depending on business needs
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
