Job summary

UPS in Houston is seeking a physically active Seasonal Driver Helper to join the delivery team. You will work alongside a UPS driver to help collect, sort, and hand off packages to customers and assist in safe, on-time deliveries. This outdoor role requires reliability, good customer interaction, and the ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

Shifts vary by day and may include weekends and holidays. No prior experience is required; training is provided, and successful team members may have opportunities

Ride Along with a Driver as a Seasonal Driver Helper

Looking for a physically active seasonal opportunity in your community? As a Driver Helper, you'll team up with a UPS package delivery driver to help deliver packages to homes and businesses. You'll spend your day outdoors, interacting with customers, and helping ensure packages are delivered safely and on time.

This is a seasonal position that requires your flexibility. Work opportunities are offered each morning based on operational needs and your availability. Schedules vary and can include Monday through Saturday, holidays, and peak delivery periods.

When assigned work, you'll meet your driver at a designated pick-up location (meet point), often near your home or within your community. Helpers do not drive the brown truck.

Please Note: This is a seasonal position; schedules vary from day to day.

What You’ll Need

• Ability to lift, lower, and carry packages weighing up to 70 lbs.
• Sturdy work boots or slip-resistant shoes suitable for outdoor work
• Weather-appropriate attire for outdoor work
• Flexibility with day-to-day scheduling, based on business needs and your availability
• Saturdays and holiday work required – depending on business needs
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
