Job summary

Princess Cruises and Holland America Line seeks a Driver Guide in Fairbanks to drive a motorcoach, narrate tours, and deliver exceptional guest service as part of Alaska itineraries.

Seasonal full-time role requiring CDL Class B with air brake endorsement, DOT physical, and a clean MVR. You will perform vehicle inspections, manage required documents, and share Alaska's history with guests while ensuring safety and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Requires strong customer-service mindset and the ability to narrate and engage guests.
• Must comply with safety regulations and maintain required documents daily.
• CDL Class B license with air brake endorsement is required (or obtained through company training).
• DOT physical and drug screen certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Operates a motorcoach and provides narrated tours.
• Performs customer service and driving tasks on tour routes.
• Maintains vehicle inspections and basic mechanical duties.
• Applies area knowledge to inform passengers about sights and history.

With every mile, you will share captivating stories, fascinating history, and fun facts that bring the rugged beauty of the Last Frontier to life for our guests. Together you get to experience Alaska in a way you will never forget.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of customer service and driving tasks.
• Applies knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMSCA) Regulations through required documents maintained daily.
• Routinely, drives a motorcoach and provides narrated tours.
• Performs inspections on vehicles and basic mechanical duties.
• Applies knowledge of the area to provide information to passengers.

Requirements

• Current, valid driver's license, with three (3) years clean driving record. Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) will be requested.
• Must meet Company's clean driver eligibility requirements.
• Current, valid Commercial Driver's License, Class B with an air brake endorsement is required. (May be obtained through Company training course.)
• Must be certified as physically qualified through a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
• You will also be entered into our random drug testing program.
• Minimum age of 21 is required for your CDL.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check.
• Dedicated to delivering excellent customer service to all guests, coworkers, and vendors.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).

• Ability to safely drive a motorcoach while speaking to passengers, answering questions, and providing narration.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work, maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.
• Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
