Job summary

American Addiction Centers in Kentucky is seeking a Driver to transport clients and facility visitors using company vehicles. You will follow a defined schedule (Mon-Fri 6:30am-2:30pm or 2:00pm-10:00pm) and maintain a professional, courteous demeanor during every ride.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, an insurable driving record, and at least 2 years of driving experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial driving experience preferred.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and vehicle safety.

Job Summary

The Driver operates company vehicle to transport clients and facility visitors.

Must be able to work the following scheduel: (Monday to Friday - 6:30am-2:30pm) OR (Monday to Friday - 2:00pm- 10:00pm)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Complies with local traffic regulations.
• Regulate heating, lighting, and ventilating systems for passenger comfort.
• Reports delays or accidents.
• Load or unloads baggage or express checked by passengers in baggage compartment.
• Assist passengers to enter and leave car and holds umbrellas in wet weather.
• Performs miscellaneous errands such as store runs for patients, mail to and from post office.
• Makes overnight drives and extended trips requiring irregular hours.
• Keep vehicle clean, polished, and in operating condition.
• Complies with company dress code.
• During all transports Meets and greets all clients in a professional and polite demeanor. Makes new clients feel welcomed and comfortable during trip.
• Answers any questions that new clients may have during transport to help orientate them before arriving at facility.
• Complies with company’s drug free work environment.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License
• Must have an insurable driving record.
• At least 2 years previous commercial driving experience.
• Working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, inspection, and maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar. Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills; and participates in meetings.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Must be able to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and flexible hours.
