Job summary

Goodwill San Antonio is seeking a Forklift Driver to move and distribute donated goods within a warehouse setting. You will operate a forklift, load and unload materials, and assist in maintaining inventory and safety standards.

The role requires 6 months to 1 year of forklift/warehouse experience, a forklift certification (or ability to obtain one), and a valid driver's license if driving is required. This is a full-time on-site position in San Antonio.

Apply today at WorkforGoodSA.org.POSITION SUMMARYThe Forklift Driver physically moves and distributes donated goods for processing and shipping or future storage in a warehouse environment using motorized forklift machinery.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESLoad, unload and move materials using forklift and hand truck to and from pallets, racks or shelves to maintain workflow of production cycle and to distribute donated goods.Operate forklift, controlling movement of lifting apparatus to transfer materials to and from designated areas.Place textiles into baler from hamper or cart; weigh bundles, transfer bundles to designated location, using hand truck and forklift. Maintain production records.Ensure work areas and facilities remain clean and organized.Keep work area clean by sweeping, emptying trash cans and disposing of trash in appropriate containers.Maintain good housekeeping standards.Adhere to Loss Prevention and inventory control and compliance procedures.Works as material handler on trucks when required.Maintain regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.Provide excellent customer service by greeting, assisting, and responding to questions and/or concerns in a positive, professional, and friendly manner.Assist in safeguarding Goodwill team members and property from harm, damage or theft.
