Performance Foodservice in New Jersey seeks an experienced Logistics Driver to operate tractor-trailer and straight trucks on local and over-the-road routes, delivering loads to PFG warehouses and ensuring accurate loading and inventory receipt.
The role requires 2–4 years of driving experience, a valid CDL, and strict adherence to DOT regulations and company safety policies. The position may involve local or long-haul assignments with varying schedules.
Drives a tractor-trailer (day cab/sleeper), tandem trailer and/or straight trucks on intrastate and/or interstate routes to pick up Logistics' loads and/or other related food and non-food product loads. The Logistics Driver then delivers the assigned loads back to PFG warehouse locations for receiving into inventory. The Logistics Driver is responsible for timely pick-ups and ensuring the right product is received and loaded. The Logistics Driver must perform all duties in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, observing all Company safety regulations and ensuring all quality standards are met. The Logistics Driver position is a dedicated Logistics or Procurement department role, usually reporting to a Logistics Manager/Supervisor. The work schedule may be local and/or over-the-road, i.e. with layovers. The Logistics Driver may be required to run a delivery route per business needs. The position will perform other duties as assigned per business need.
