Driver - Cylinder
Location: Lancaster, PA

Our Driver - Cylinder Handlers are responsible for safely and efficiently operating a local route delivery vehicle to deliver hard goods, compressed gas cylinders, and associated products to customer locations. In this role, you must communicate and cooperate with customers, respond to their needs, and safely operate the delivery vehicle in compliance with company and DOT Guidelines. You will also be responsible for filling, labeling, and preparing low-pressure packaged gas cylinders and will operate and maintain the cryogenic liquid filling system. What you will be doing: (1st Shift, CDL B)

• Provide a high standard of Customer Service while delivering, which includes unloading products and movement to customer use point and reloading returned empty cylinders to the vehicle.
• Driving represents approximately 30% of the day; the remaining portion includes delivery, cylinder handling, shipping orders/paperwork, customer contact, and vehicle AM and PM inspections.
• Accurately counting and recording quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up.
• Complete Hazardous Material shipping orders papers in accordance with DOT/TC Regulations.
• Placard vehicle according to required hazardous material regulations and Linde standards.
• Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Identify need for vehicle repairs and/or maintenance and ensure it is accomplished on time.
• Process medical and industrial gas cylinders using established plant guidelines and procedures.
• Perform visual, physical, and odor tests on cylinders before filling and determine whether retesting and/or repairs are required.
• Check for cylinder quantities, styles, and products, and fill any necessary product.
• Load and unload product from the weekly shuttle truck.
• Operate and maintain cylinder scales and associated equipment.
• Prepare warehouse transfer orders and accompanying paperwork for shipment and key into the computer the quantities, styles, and products filled to justify the stock inventory.
• Complete and maintain quality control documentation as per company and Governmental procedures.
• Operate a forklift truck and other plant vehicles.
• Other duties as assigned.
