Job summary

Olympic View Post Acute is seeking a licensed CNA to serve as a Transportation Specialist, safely moving residents to appointments and activities while providing compassionate care on the road.

In this role you’ll combine hands-on caregiving with the independence of driving, maintain accurate logs, and adhere to safety policies. You’ll need an active CNA license, a valid state driver’s license, and the ability to lift residents as needed. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Active CNA license (required)
• Valid state driver’s license in good standing
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience caring for seniors preferred
• Ability to lift/transfer residents up to 50 lbs. independently (up to 100+ lbs. with assistance)
• Strong communication and customer service skills, with empathy for residents and families
• Ability to pass an annual TB screening and physical exam

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to and from appointments and destinations, following all facility policies and procedures
• Assist residents in and out of wheelchairs and gurneys, using proper lifting and transfer techniques
• Operate and maintain transportation equipment in line with safety guidelines
• Keep accurate Transportation and Mileage Logs
• Maintain resident identification records during transfers per policy
• Build positive relationships with residents, co-workers, and outside professionals
• Report any unsafe conditions or equipment issues to your supervisor
• Maintain strict confidentiality of resident and facility information (HIPAA)
• Participate in ongoing in-service training, workshops, and seminars
