Job summary

Pyramid Healthcare is seeking a Driver/Client Transporter to support behavioral healthcare services at the Bowie facility. You will transport patients to clinical services, keep environments clean and safe, and provide exceptional customer service as the first and last face patients see in care. A valid driver's license is required.

Schedule is Tue-Sat 8a-4p with a pay range of $15–$16 per hour. Preferred candidates have a high school diploma or GED and prior hospital or behavioral health

Summary

Pyramid Healthcare Drivers are a core component of exceptional behavioral healthcare service delivery. Our drivers are the first face our patients see when entering our care and the last face they see when leaving. They are responsible for providing exceptional customer service and safe, caring transport for all patients, transporting them to and from clinical services, ancillary, and support services. Additional responsibilities include vehicle cleaning and sanitation to ensure a safe transport environment for both patients and staff. A valid driver's license is a requirement for this role.

Pay Range

$15/hr - $16/hr

Education/Experience

• Preferred high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Prior experience in a hospital or behavioral healthcare environment, patient care, and/or transportation is a plus.

Licensure, Certification, And/or Registration

• Active valid driver’s license.
• CPR course required within 30 days of hire.
• Completion of various safety trainings upon hire.

Essential Functions

• Transport patients to and from behavioral healthcare services.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients, self, and co-workers.
• Communicate with the team, co-workers, and patients in a positive and professional manner.
• Take initiative to deliver the best customer service, even during times of stress.
• Be knowledgeable of all aspects and functionalities of the client transportation system.
• Provide appropriate safety oversight and monitoring for all clients while in transport.

Work Environment

• Contact with patients under a wide variety of circumstances.

• Subject to many interruptions and pressure from multiple calls and inquiries.
• Occasionally subject to irregular hours.
• Handle absentee replacement on short notice.
• Personal protective equipment (masks) is required when transporting patients.
