Central Valley is seeking a Class B Delivery Driver for our St. Helena facility to ensure timely delivery of goods and outstanding customer service. The role involves loading/unloading, securing loads, and coordinating with customers to confirm delivery details.

Candidates should have a Class B license, 2 years of driving experience, and forklift experience. Physical requirements include extensive lifting, bending, and repetitive tasks; offers benefits and a stable work schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 25 years of age.
• Class B Driver’s license required.
• Flatbed experience (1 year) required.
• 2 years of verifiable driving experience.
• May not exceed 1 point on driving record.
• Forklift experience required.
• Experience driving a manual transmission truck required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver merchandise to customers as scheduled and verify orders.
• Count and check condition of items loaded on the truck.
• Contact customers to confirm delivery instructions and address.
• Deliver orders undamaged to the correct jobsite and assist in unloading.
• Ensure loads are secured and properly flagged as needed.
• Take delivery photos and provide receipts; obtain customer signature when available.
• Operate forklift to load/unload as needed and stage materials for delivery.

The Delivery Driver is responsible for ensuring timely delivery of goods to customers, reviewing orders prior to delivery, loading and unloading trucks and providing exceptional customer service.

• Delivers merchandise to customer.
• Counts and checks the condition of all outgoing products loaded on the truck.
• Contacts customer to ensure delivery instructions are accurate.
• Delivers orders undamaged to the correct jobsite and assisting in unloading if necessary, attending to proper un/loading sequence.
• Makes sure loads are properly secured and flagged if necessary.
• Upon delivery, offers a friendly greeting, smile, and eye contact with customers.
• Assists in the building of load including staging materials and loading trucks as needed including the use of a forklift.
• Ensures that the correct material is delivered.
• Takes a photo of the delivery and/or obtains customer signature if available.
• Provides receipt of delivery to customer.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Must be at least 25 years of age
• Class B Driver’s license required
• Familiarity with the tieing down of lumber and other building products (Flatbed exp.) – 1 year required
• Have 2 years of verifiable driving experience
• May not exceed 1 point on driving record
• Forklift experience required
• Experience driving a manual transmission truck required

• Experience driving in both rural and urban environments
