Job summary

Heritage Oaks Hospital, part of the UHS family, is seeking a Patient Driver to support the Transportation Team. This role safely transports patients to and from the facility, assists with meals, and communicates any patient-care issues to the Transportation Supervisor.

The hospital values safety, reliability, and compassionate care. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Class A or B driver’s license with passenger endorsement, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Must hold a valid Class A or B driver's license with passenger endorsement and current medical examination.
• CPR certification required; Handle with Care and Verbal De-escalation training within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation for patients to and from the facility in a safe manner.
• Get lunch from the cafeteria and provide to patients, as assigned.

Heritage Oaks Hospital is currently looking for a Patient Driver to join our Transportation Team! This position provides transportation of patients to and from the facility providing continuous observation, interaction, and role modeling to the patients while maintaining safety at all times.

Qualifications

Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Licensure: Valid Class A or B driver's license, passenger endorsement and current medical examination required.

Additional Requirements: Must be 21 years or older and have and maintain a good driving record as obtained from the Department of Motor Vehicles. CPR certification required. Handle with Care and Verbal De-escalation training within 90 days of employment. May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
