Job summary

SA Recycling, a world leader in metals recycling, seeks a dependable Class A CDL Driver to operate a tractor-trailer (flatbed or dump) delivering metals from suppliers to our processing facility. This outdoor role follows a Monday–Friday 1st shift with overtime and occasional Saturdays; local routes keep drivers home each night.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A CDL with experience operating heavy haul/roll-off/end-dump trailers.
• Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience.
• Must be 21+ years old and able to pass DOT physical and FMCSR background checks.
• FMCSA Clearinghouse registration required.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of tractors and trailers per DOT.
• Transport and deliver materials from suppliers to SA Recycling facilities as directed by dispatch.
• Secure all cargo using chains, straps, binders, and tarps.
• Communicate safety or equipment issues to management.
• Operate safely on staging areas, parking surfaces, and roads.
• Maintain logs of working hours and vehicle service status.

SA Recycling, a world leader in the metals recycling and processing industry, is actively looking for a dependable and experienced Class A CDL Driver to join our team. As a Driver you will be operating a tractor trailer with either flatbed or dump trailer transporting metals from supplier locations to our processing facility.

This position will work outside in varying weather conditions, and SA Recycling strictly adheres to all Metals Recycling Business Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.

This is a Monday - Friday 1st shift schedule with overtime and Saturday hours as needed. Runs are local routes and drivers are home each night.

Responsibilities Of a Driver

• Responsible for pre and post trip inspections of all tractors and trailers in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Transport and deliver materials from suppliers to SA Recycling facilities as directed by dispatch.
• Secure all cargo for transport using chains, straps, binders, and/or tarps.
• Communicate any safety or equipment issues with management.
• Operate effectively and safely on all staging areas, parking surfaces, and roads.
• Maintain all required logs of working hours and vehicle service and repair status.

Qualifications Of a Driver

• High School diploma, GED Certification, or equivalent work experience.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License; heavy haul, roll-off and end-dump trailer experience a plus.
• Three (3) plus years’ commercial driving experience.
• Minimum 21 years old.
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical, meet all qualifications of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR) and pass a background check.
• Must be registered in Clearinghouse as required by FMCSR.
• Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) a plus.

Candidates may not have more than 2 moving violations within the past 2 years for consideration.
