Airgas is seeking a CDL A Driver in Phoenix, AZ. You will deliver compressed gas cylinders to local and regional customers, load/unload daily, and maintain safe driving practices.

The role features a Monday–Friday schedule with occasional weekends and a $27/hour pay rate, plus a referral bonus and a modern fleet with driver-friendly tech. The position emphasizes safety, customer service, and physical endurance, including lifting requirements up to 75 lbs regularly and more with assistance.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat & Airbrake endorsement.
• Hazmat is required; candidates must currently have Hazmat.
• Must have 1 year of CDL driving experience or recent trucking school completion.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Load and unload truck daily with gas cylinders & supplies.
• Maintain courteous & professional relationships with customers.
• Make deliveries in a timely manner.
• Safely strap and unstrap cylinders.
• Deliver on customer property sites using hand cart; position is labor-intensive.
• Drivers will frequently exit vehicle.

As the "face of Airgas", the delivery driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers from an Airgas branch or plant location using a company provided tractor trailer, straight, or box truck. This position loads, unloads, delivers, and returns compressed gas cylinders while frequently interacting with Airgas customers.

Are you a MATCH?

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL with HAZMAT & Airbrake endorsement

• Hazmat IS REQUIRED. CANDIDATES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED UNLESS THEY CURRENTLY HAVE THEIR HAZMAT

• Must have 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or able to provide a certificate of completion from trucking school in the last 12 months.

• Maintain appropriate driver's license, medical card & endorsements

• No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at-fault accident in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years

• No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years

• Must be able to work in a drug-free environment

• Be able to regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with the aid of material handling
