Job summary

Trulite Glass and Aluminum Solutions is hiring a Delivery Driver for day shift with a start at 5 am. The role requires a CDL A license, a good driving record, and the ability to perform pre/post trip inspections. Expect occasional overnight trips up to two per week and a focus on safe, customer-friendly service.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CDL A license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum one year of driving experience after CDL school.
• Experience with pre/post trip inspections and online logs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Distributes receipts for load picked up.
• Occasionally collects payment for goods delivered and charges.
• Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations.
• Maintains telephone/radio contact with supervisor for delivery instructions.
• Unloads truck as needed.
• Inspects truck equipment (tires, lights, brakes, fluids).
• Secures cargo with blocks and ropes for transit.

What You Will Be Doing

Successful candidates for the Delivery Driver role are motivated and eager to provide a high level of customer service. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Distributes receipts for load picked up.
• Occasionally collects payment for goods delivered and for delivery charges.
• Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations.
• Maintains telephone and / or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
• Unloads truck as needed.
• Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
• Positions blocks and ties rope around items to secure cargo during transit.

Skills You Bring:

• Must be CDL A Licensed, must pass Driver's Testing, and must pass DOT Physical / Drug Testing
• Minimum one year of experience after CDL school.
• Current and active Class A Driver’s license with good driving record
• Up to 2 overnight trips per week (hotel and per diem provided)
• Previous experience operating a Moffett and boom truck highly preferred
• Previous warehouse experience highly preferred
• Proficient in reading and writing English
• Capable of working in a physically demanding work environment which includes bending; stretching; pushing, pulling and lifting a MINIMUM of 75 LBS; and extensive fast-paced walking in all weather conditions throughout the year
• Knowledge of basic math, ability to read and write the English language, and map reading skills'
