Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL.
• Ability to obtain Hazmat within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to use various mobile devices.
• Physically capable of performing job-related tasks.
• Successful completion of background check, drug test, and physical exam.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers in a team environment.
• Drive and operate a variety of Class A trucks and related equipment.
• Load and unload trucks and perform manual site labor as needed.
• Placard vehicles to meet DOT and company requirements.
• Maintain logs, time sheets, and reports in compliance with regulations.
• Follow local, state, and federal regulations and safety guidelines.
• Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis.
• Handle site remediation and hazardous materials handling if required.

Clean Harbors in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to operate a variety of heavy and light‑duty trucks and work equipment at customer sites. The role involves driving and non‑driving duties associated with hazardous waste clean‑up, including operations of vacuum trucks, Cuscos, guzzlers, and roll‑offs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure health and safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes.
• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers when needed in a team atmosphere.
• Operate a variety of Class A trucks.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Perform manual labor on site to fulfill customer needs.
• Properly placard vehicles to meet company and DOT requirements.
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and various reports.
• Follow all local, state (provincial), and federal compliance regulations and rules.
• Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT and other regulatory requirements.
• Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis every other week, if required.
• Handle site remediation, equipment decontamination, and hazardous materials handling, if required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to use various mobile devices.
• Physical capability to perform job‑related tasks.
• Successful completion of background check, drug test, and physical exam.
• Compliance with OSHA Respiratory Protection Standard (29 CFR 1910.34) for facial hair if respirator required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Commercial driving experience.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsement.
• Previous Hazmat experience.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission.
• Previous manual labor experience.
