Job summary

Clean Harbors in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to operate a variety of heavy and light duty trucks at customer sites, including vacuum trucks and roll-offs. The role includes on-site and off-site duties related to hazardous waste cleanup with a Monday–Friday schedule and local routes, with occasional overnight travel.

Onboarding requires an in-person Clean Harbors Academy out of state; attendance is mandatory.

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL.
• Willing to travel for academy out of state (training).
• Attendance at academy is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial trucks including vacuum trucks, Cuscos, guzzlers, and roll-offs.
• Perform loading and unloading of trucks.
• Maintain daily logs and reports.
• Follow health and safety policies and DOT requirements.
• Provide manual labor on site to support customer needs.

Clean Harbors in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to operate a variety of heavy and light duty trucks/work equipment at our customer sites; some of the vehicles operated include vacuum trucks, Cuscos, guzzlers, and roll offs. This role is responsible for performing driving and non-driving duties on and off customer sites associated with hazardous waste clean-up.

Hours would be Monday though Friday days, weekends off. Local runs with the occasional overnight

This position requires attendance with an in-person Clean Harbors Academy out of State. as part of your onboarding and training. Attendance is mandatory. Clean Harbors provides airfare, hotel accommodations, transportation to/from the Academy, breakfast and lunch, and a $38 nightly per diem. Academy training is paid at your normal rate. Candidates must be able to travel and attend the full 2 week Academy to be eligible for this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner
• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers when needed (team atmosphere where everyone helps)
• Operate a variety of Class A trucks
• Loading and unloading of trucks
• Manual labor on site to ensure fulfillment of customer needs
• Proper placarding of vehicles to meet Company and DOT requirements/regulations
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and various reports
