Trulite Glass and Aluminum Solutions in City of Industry, CA is seeking a CDL A Driver to join our team. The role offers home weekly with Mon-Fri routes, daily route hours vary, and weekend home time with hotel and per diem provided.

Pay ranges from $23.00 to $26.00 per hour with weekly paychecks. Benefits start on day one, including health, vision, dental and life insurance, plus 401k with 100% vesting after 1 year.

Qualifications

• Current/Active CDL Class A License with at least 1 year of experience after CDL school.
• Must pass Driver's Testing.
• Must pass DOT Physical (M.E.C.) / Drug Testing (DOT).
• Must be proficient in the English language.
• Basic math to understand product weight and truck limits.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Comply with statutory, regulatory requirements and company policy.
• Complete paperwork including manifest and shipping/receiving documents.
• Maintain certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs.
• Load/unload finished goods and raw ingredients; secure loads for transit.
• Operate and learn the computerized system to complete shipment transactions.
• Communicate with customers and supervisors to receive delivery instructions.

Who You Are:

• Someone with previous over the road experience.
• Familiar with pre and post trip inspections and using online log systems

What You Will Be Doing:

• Performs pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Complies with all required statutory, regulatory requirements, and company policy.
• Completes appropriate paperwork and forms, including but not limited to manifest, shipping and receiving documents.
• Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs.
• Loading and unloading of all finished goods and raw ingredients. Secure load during transit, including blocking and bracing.
• Driver must be able to utilize and/or learn the computerized system order to complete all transactions of shipments.

• Drives truck with capacity of more than 3 tons, transporting materials to and from specified destinations.
• Distributes receipts for loads picked up.
• Occasionally collects payment for goods delivered and for delivery charges.
• Maintains telephone and/or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
• Assists Customers with the offloading process.
• Positions blocks and ties rope around items to secure cargo during transit.
• Communicates with customers, supervisors, and other employees effectively.
• Uses good judgment in making decisions, in emergency and routine situations.

Skills You Bring:

• Current/Active CDL Class A License Minimum one year of experience after CDL school
• Must pass Driver's Testing
• Must pass DOT Physical (M.E.C.) / Drug Testing (DOT)
• Must be proficient in the English language
• Basic math to understand product weight and truck limits
• Reasoning ability; must be able to solve practical problems and follow instructions.
