POSITION OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Lubricants Truck Driver to join our team. The lubricants driver is responsible for transporting lubricant products from one location to another, typically from our Elizabethtown warehouse to customers or retail outlets. The job involves driving a truck equipped to carry lubricant products safely and efficiently. Key duties include loading and unloading products, ensuring the proper handling and secure transportation of goods, adhering to safety regulations and traffic laws, and maintaining accurate delivery records. Additionally, lubricants drivers may be required to perform basic vehicle maintenance and inspections to ensure the truck is in good working condition. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Safe Operation of Vehicles: Drive tanker trucks or delivery vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load lubricants onto the delivery vehicle at the distribution center or storage facility and unload them at customer locations, ensuring proper handling and storage procedures.
  • Delivery Planning: Plan routes for timely and efficient deliveries, taking into consideration factors such as traffic, weather conditions, and delivery schedules.
  • Documentation: Complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and customer signatures. Ensure accurate record-keeping for deliveries and any issues encountered during transportation.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct routine vehicle inspections and ensure that the delivery vehicle is in good working condition. Report any mechanical issues promptly.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, including courteous interactions with customers, addressing any concerns, and maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations, including the proper handling and disposal of lubricants. Follow company policies and procedures.
  • Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergency situations, such as accidents or spills, by following established protocols to minimize risk and damage.
  • Physical Requirements: Perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving heavy containers, connecting hoses, and operating equipment to load and unload lubricants.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with dispatch, customers, and other team members to provide updates on delivery status, address issues, and coordinate schedules.
Qualifications

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL): Class A/B with the necessary endorsements required. HAZMAT or tanker certification not required but preferred.
  • Driving Experience: Have a clean driving record and relevant experience in the operation of tanker trucks or similar vehicles.
  • Safety Awareness: Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety protocols and practices.
  • Knowledge of Regulations: Stay informed about and comply with local, state, and federal regulations related to the transportation of hazardous materials.
  • Physical Fitness: Possess the physical fitness required for the demands of the job, including the ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual tasks.
  • Customer Service Skills: Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with customers and addressing their needs.
  • Attention to Detail: Pay close attention to details, especially in documentation and adherence to delivery schedules.
