Job summary

Imperial Brady in California is seeking a CDL Delivery Driver to perform accurate and timely deliveries, while upholding safety and excellent customer service standards. You will also support warehouse tasks, prepare orders, and manage inventory as needed.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of CDL delivery experience, a valid Class A or B license, clean driving record, and the ability to obtain DOT certification.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year in a CDL delivery role or route experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Age 21+ with valid CDL and clean driving history.
  • Ability to obtain DOT medical certification and pass road test.
  • HazMat endorsement preferred; forklift cert preferred or obtainable on hire.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills for dispatch systems and data entry.
  • Strong math abilities to verify orders and documents.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and work overtime as needed.
  • Physical: lift up to 50 lbs, push/pull 100 lbs, capable of climbing and kneeling.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a straight truck, box truck or CMV (26,001+ pounds) for deliveries.
  • Learn routes, ensure correct orders, and maintain delivery docs (BOLs, packing slips).
  • Conduct daily DVIRs, report issues, and keep the vehicle clean inside/out.
  • Follow OSHA/DOT/FMCSA policies; complete safety training; handle HazMat materials.
  • Wear company apparel; maintain neat appearance; communicate with dispatch and customers.
  • Address customer needs quickly; maintain high levels of service.
  • Assist with preparing orders, loading/unloading, stocking inventory, and warehouse tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

This position will transport products to customers and support with warehouse functions, to include preparing orders to be delivered, loading and unloading trucks, and managing inventory.

Responsibilities Include
  • Operate a straight truck, box truck or CMV (26,001 + pounds) to transport products to customer locations in assigned delivery route.
  • Learn and optimize routes, ensure correct order fulfillment, and maintain proper documentation (BOLs, manifests, packing slips, HazMat summaries).
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections (DVIR), report issues immediately, and maintain cleanliness inside and out of assigned vehicle.
  • Follow all OSHA, DOT, FMCSA and company policies, complete required safety training and properly handle HazMat materials.
  • Wear company apparel as required, maintain a neat appearance and effectively communicate with dispatch, customers, and management.
  • Take personal ownership of all customer needs with speed and urgency. Maintain the highest level of customer service.
  • Assist with preparing orders, loading/unloading, stocking inventory, and general warehouse tasks as needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a CDL driver, delivery route experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Age 21 or older
  • Valid commercial driver’s license and safe driving history; Class A or B required
  • Ability to obtain a DOT medical certification and pass a road test and Clearinghouse Query
  • HazMat or Air Brake Endorsement, preferred
  • Prior forklift certification preferred, or ability to obtain upon hire
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Basic computer skills to operate transportation systems, dispatch applications or perform data entry tasks
  • Basic math skills to verify orders or reconcile delivery documents
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and work overtime as needed
  • Physical Requirements : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required lift up to 50lbs and push/pull 100lbs. Regularly sit in a truck and drive a company vehicle. Ability to walk, climb, kneel, stoop and balance frequently.
Compensation & Benefits

The pay range for this role is $23.00- $26.00 per hour. This range represents what the company reasonably expects to pay an associate for this role based on current market data, internal equity, and other business factors. The actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations.
