Job summary

Firestone Walker Brewing Company seeks an on-site forklift operator to support loading dock operations at our Paso Robles location. You will perform safety checks, hook/unhook trailers, and safely move materials using a forklift, while maintaining accurate documentation for deliveries.

Responsibilities include assisting with campus orders, securing freight, and reporting any safety hazards. A strong focus on DOT regulations and warehouse organization is required.

Qualifications

• Forklift operation and safety procedures per DOT regulations.
• Ability to load/unload materials accurately and safely.
• Maintain clean and organized loading dock and trailer areas.
• Report safety issues and equipment damage promptly.
• Prepare and process delivery receipts and signatures as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) and inspections for tractor/trailer.
• Hook/unhook procedures and secure trailers in designated areas.
• Operate forklift to move pallets, kegs, cases, and inventory.
• Assist with on-campus orders by relocating inventory as needed.
• Move controls and equipment to transfer materials between unloading, processing, and storage areas.
• Ensure route paperwork is complete and available at dispatch.
• Report any safety hazards or damaged equipment.
• Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods.

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

• Performs all required safety checks (i.e., pre/post trip) including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations; inspects tractor/truck and trailer to ensure they meet company safety standards and take appropriate action as needed. Reports all safety issues and/or repairs required
• Performs hook/unhook procedures per safety guidelines; Parks and stores tractor trailers in designated areas; Ensures all equipment and freight are appropriately locked and/or secured at all times
• Performs general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area, and keeps trailers clear and clean as required *All Firestone vehicles are smoke free
• Inspects trailer for properly loaded and secured freight; Ensures all required route paperwork is with tractor trailer load and available to driver upon dispatch
• Transfers materials to and from local offsite storage operations
• Conducts weekly deliveries to Firestone Walker locations
• Utilizes forklift to safely load or unload materials off or on to pallets, platforms, skids, etc.
• Assists with orders on campus by moving kegs, cases of beer, and other inventory items as needed
• Moves controls, devices, and levers to drive forklift to transfer materials between unloading, processing, loading, and storage areas
• Reports any damage to racks, equipment, forklift, or any other safety hazards
• Obtains receipts or signatures for delivered goods
• Follows all Firestone Walker safety rules and policies
• Other duties as needed
