Job summary

White Cap is seeking a CDL A or B Driver to coordinate and deliver products to customer jobsites. The role may involve using a truck-mounted forklift to unload shipments and requires adherence to DOT regulations and safety practices.

The position offers Monday–Friday shifts with no nights, paid holidays, and comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) with company match, tuition reimbursement, and generous time off. Located in Montgomery, AL with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of CDL driving experience and an active state license.
• Preference for forklift certification and FMCSA/DOT compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Follows DOT regulations with a strong focus on safety and vehicle maintenance.
• Ensures manifests and all paperwork are accurate.

A CDL Driver at White Cap… Coordinates and delivers products to customer jobsites. May use a truck-mounted forklift (Moffett or Piggyback) to unload shipments at customer jobsites. Follows DOT regulations in accordance with vehicle maintenance and operates with a strong sense of safety. Ensures that manifests and all paperwork are accurate. May assist warehouse staff with pulling and preparing orders for shipment.

Has a minimum of one year of CDL Driving experience and required state license. Performs other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Have a current Class A Driver’s License (CDL) issued by the state in which the candidate resides with all the relevant endorsements required for the type of equipment being operated (i.e., Hazardous Material to transport hazardous materials that require placarding)
• Two years of commercial driving experience compliant with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and DOT regulations preferred
• Forklift certification preferred
• Spanish language proficiency
