Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Class B CDL driver in the Grand Rapids area to deliver and recover equipment at customer worksites. You will operate a flatbed or roll-back truck across urban and rural settings, navigating tight construction zones safely.

Required is a High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid Class B CDL with a clean driving record. You’ll also load/unload gear, troubleshoot minor on-site issues, and provide customer-focused service in a safety-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s license with Class B CDL certification and safe driving record.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience driving, loading and unloading tools or equipment.
• Bi-lingual (Spanish or other) may be preferred in some locations.

Responsibilities

As a Class B CDL driver, you will deliver and recover a variety of equipment, tools and supplies to and from the customer worksite. This role will drive a flatbed or roll-back truck in a variety of conditions, including urban, suburban, rural settings. Ability to drive safely in tight settings such as construction zones is required.

Education or experience that prepares you for success:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid Driver’s license with Class B CDL certification & safe driving record

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities you may rely on:

• Previous experience driving, loading and unloading tools or equipment
• Mechanical skills to troubleshoot issues on-site
• Customer service focused attitude
• Detail orientation to properly maintain records
• Bi-lingual (Spanish or other) may be preferred in some locations

The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job. Base Pay Range: $24.05 - 36.07. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
