Job summary

Core & Main LP is seeking a reliable delivery driver to load, transport, and deliver products to customers. You will be the primary interface with customers at the point of delivery and ensure accurate tickets and manifests.

The role includes loading, unloading, routing, and basic warehouse support to ensure on‑time deliveries. Requires a CDL A with at least 1 year of CDL experience, a clean MVR, and the ability to pass pre‑employment testing.

Qualifications

• CDL A with at least 1 year of CDL A/B experience.
• Ability to pass pre‑employment testing.
• Clean 3‑year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers products to customers and may assist with unloading.
• Serves as primary interface with the customer at delivery point.
• Maintains vehicle logs and bill of ladings per guidelines.
• Plans routes to optimize deliveries and adapt to traffic.
• Assists warehouse team with pulling and preparing orders for shipment.
• Fuels, inspects, and reports vehicle defects as needed.

Job Overview

The role involves delivering products to customers and serving as the primary interface with customers at the point of delivery. Responsibilities include loading, unloading, conducting inspections, reporting incidents, fuel management, compliance with DOT standards, record keeping, route planning, manifest accuracy, and warehouse support.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

• Delivers products to customers, may include assistance with unloading and ensuring delivery of ticket with material.
• Serves as primary interface with the customer at point of delivery.
• Contacts customers if they are not present at delivery location.
• Loads truck with daily deliveries.
• Unloads product at customer’s site.
• Performs pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and Core & Main policies and procedures.
• Reports vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage before and after route.
• Fuels truck as needed.
• Complies with all DOT standards and regulations.
• Maintains records such as vehicle logs and bill of ladings in accordance with guidelines.
• Plans route to and from customers’ businesses and adjusts for traffic and/or construction.
• Ensures that manifests are complete and accurate.
• Assists warehouse staff with pulling and preparing orders for shipment, as well as receiving, verifying, staging and stocking all incoming material.

Requirements

• Valid CDL A with at least 1‑year of CDL A/B experience.
• Ability to pass pre‑employment testing.
• Clean 3‑year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

Preferences

• Flatbed driving experience.
• Forklift experience.
• Prior experience loading/unloading product, and job site delivery.
