Qualifications

• All applicants must meet FMCSA CDL requirements and be eligible to work in the United States.
• Must have a CDL-Class A license with at least two years of proven safe driving experience.
• Must possess a valid REAL ID driver's license, U.S. passport, or federal ID.
• Role will service a military base facility requiring valid Federal ID or passport access.
• Preferred direct store delivery experience (DSD).
• Candidate must pass drug test, MVR, and background check.
• FMCSA's Clearinghouse Registration required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with procedures and safety checks of equipment (tractor, trailer, pallet jack) to guarantee safety.
• Complete daily field service activities: receipts, truck logs and maintenance records.
• Perform all duties as scheduled by Route Manager or Dispatch.

What you need to know about this position:

Schedule, but subject to change based on business demand: Monday to Friday (5 days a week and occasional Saturdays) 10-12 hours per day. Start time between 11:00 pm- 2:00 am to (when work is completed) Total: 45/50 hours per week.

Job Specific Requirements:

• All applicants must meet all requirements set forth in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s Final Rule regarding the issuance and renewal of Commercial Driver’s Licenses (CDLs).
• Must have a CDL-Class A license and have at least two years of proven safe driving experience.
• Have a valid REAL ID driver's license, U.S. passport, or federal ID.
• This role will service a military base facility where it is a federal requirement to have a valid REAL ID driver’s license, U.S. passport, or federal ID to access.
• Preferred direct store delivery experience (DSD)
• You must successfully pass our drug test, MVR, and background check.
• FMCSA's Clearinghouse Registration required.

What You’ll Need as a Driver CDL:

• Customer-oriented attitude, providing excellent support to key customers.
• Minimum of one year of safe driving experience with no serious driving convictions.
• DOT requirement to check the last 10 years.
• Familiarity with Occupational and Safety Health Act (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, as well as local, state, and federal requirements.
• Basic understanding of temperature-controlled food transportation.
• Proficiency in using a smart phone and electronic logging device (ELD) for logging positions and driving times.
• Able to use a scanner and log deliveries.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing routes and working schedules.
• Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions and varying temperatures.

#ushourly Salary and Benefits:

The hourly wage for this position is $27.95 per hour The position offers healthcare benefits, retirement benefits, and paid time off, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Some of these benefits have eligibility requirements.
